Since last year’s three-band Winter show at Lilypad sold out despite the deterrent of a season with epic snowfall topping 70 inches (and taking place on Super Bowl Sunday), Mary Bichner of Box Five, 3rian King with What Time Is It, Mr. Fox? and Mali Sastri leading a trio from her band Jaggery plan to reprise that show Feb. 26 at the much bigger Passim.

“Even though this winter has been rather mild, being from New England you never know what’s around the corner. So we’ve prepared some songs to keep us on our toes,” King said.

The three singer/songwriter/pianists/friends — backed by special guest string and woodwind players — will join voices to honor Father Winter and his Snow Queen through original songs and famous odes to ice by artists including Annie Lennox, Tori Amos, Kate Bush and Arcade Fire, King said. Along with those original musical blizzards and icy classics come stories about how true New Englanders handle the darker, colder and sometimes harrowing post-holiday months, “including our propensity for drinking iced coffee year-round.”

The all-ages Sunday show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for nonmembers and $13 for members, and are available at clubpassim.org. The club is at 47 Palmer St., Harvard Square.
