Could this be what happens to all that chocolate left on grocery store shelves after Valentines Day? With that most chocolate-ridden of holidays only a week in the past, the restaurant and bar Moksa is holding a chocolate-inspired cocktail dinner from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

The reservations-only dinner putting the spotlight on mixologist Noon Summers starts off with warm Cocoa Nibs Whiskey Punch. A “Chocolate Kill Devil” cocktail of rum, rhum and chocolate follows with a Tea-Smoked Pork Buns appetizer with orange chocolate sauce.

The “Truffle Me Not” cocktail of tequila, ancho, cocoa and spicy truffle dust is served with dinner, with the customer choosing between Spicy Scallops with white chocolate and wasabi drizzle or charred grilled steak with rosemary chocolate sauce.

Finally, a house-made Chocolate Irish Cream is served with a slightly redundant dessert of chocolate-chili panna cotta.

The dinner is $35 per person, not including tax and gratuity. If it still sounds yummy, call (617) 661-4900 or click here to check for reservations. Moksa is at 450 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square.
