The Grand Guacamole Winner at Sunday’s second annual Guac Off at The Painted Burro, the Davis Square Mexican restaurant and tequila lounge, was Isaac Hendrickson and his pomegranate-seeded Granada Guacamole. But Cantabrigian Ellen Wong was close behind with her entry, Cilantro Lovers with a Twist, which took home the People’s Choice Guacamole prize, a Painted Burro publicist said.

Hendrickson got his recipe on the restaurant’s menu and won a $150 Painted Burro gift card, as well as bragging rights for a year.

The panel of local celebrity judges included Somerville firefighter and winner of The Painted Burro’s Burro Churro Challenge Jay McKenzie, Somerville Scout writer (and Cantabrigian) Michelle Lahey and Jen Che (also of Cambridge), of the popular local food blog Tiny Urban Kitchen.
