052714-Main-and-Windsor-shotsAt approximately 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, Cambridge Police responded to reports of gunshots near Main and Windsor streets.

There are no reported injuries or victims, but police did recover multiple spent shell casings at the scene and confirmed that bullets struck two parked vehicles, said Jeremy Warnick, director of communications and media relations for the Cambridge Police Department. A possible suspect vehicle, described as dark-colored SUV, was seen fleeing the area.

All indications at this point in the investigation are that this incident was not random in nature, Warnick said.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Cambridge Police at (617) 349-3300. Anonymous reports can be left at (617) 349-3359; sent by text message to 84741 (begin your text with TIP650, then type your message); or by email by visiting CambridgePolice.org/Tips.
