People interested in serving on the Cambridge Commission on the Status of Women should submit a letter of interest, including a résumé and/or an explanation of applicable experience, by Oct. 17.

Commissioners work to create and promote programs that increase public awareness and understanding of issues affecting women and girls, particularly marginalized women and girls, within the city; advocate to improve the quality of women’s and girls’ lives; and build coalitions and partner with community organizations on these issues.

The commission meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month on the second floor of 51 Inman St. in the Women’s Commission Conference Room.
