For a night out that’s full of eloquence (and low on testosterone), “The Muse” is sure to deliver. Led by poet, author and host K.D. Smith, there’s a half-dozen poets scheduled to take to the stage Saturday in an event called “The Muse”: Mecca Wright; Vanessa Jean-Pierre; Milca Polynice; Gina Faustin; and Michelle D. Smith.

Syndicate Prime Publishing, a Boston-based publisher of Christian e-nooks, is promoting the event, but company chief executive and president Shane O’Garro said the night is not intended to be solely Christian in theme. “The poets are not all Christians and are not all from Syndicate Prime Publishing,” he said.

“The Muse” runs from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday (with complimentary beverages for the first hour) at the Cambridge YMCA Theatre, 820 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square. Tickets are $10 for this 18-plus event.
