030315i-names-CPD-promotion-lieutenant-Robert-W.-Grey-and-Robert-N.-LoweFrom the Cambridge Police Department, March 2: The Cambridge Police Department held a promotional ceremony Monday to promote two officers to lieutenant and six officers to the supervisory rank of patrol sergeant.

Promoted to police lieutenant were Robert W. Grey and Robert N. Lowe.

The officers promoted to sergeant were P. Michael Cresta; Stanley J. Gedaminsky; Shawn M. Lynch; Anthony G. Macone; Philip P. McDavitt and Casey W. McGrath.

Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert C. Haas and his command staff, family members and friends were joined at the ceremony at the Main Public Library’s Lecture Hall Auditorium by Mayor David P. Maher, Deputy City Manager Lisa C. Peterson, Cambridge Fire Chief Gerald R. Reardon, Cambridge Emergency Communications Center Director Christina Giacobbe and City Manager Richard C. Rossi.

“It’s a wonderful day when you can celebrate officers who are promoted and step up in the ranks.” Rossi said. “The fact that you have a chance to be a leader in this department is an incredibly special opportunity.”

Haas told the officers being honored, “I’m very proud of you all and have great faith in your abilities. I am confident that you are all going to do a fine job and will continue to represent us well.”
