From the City of Cambridge, March 9: Early registration ends March 21 for the March 29 Cambridge CityRun, a five-mile road race, and Henrietta’s 3-Mile Fun Walk, a combined rite of spring that attracts more than 1,500 participants annually. The first 1,000 pre-entrants get a free T-shirt and pay less: $30, instead of $35.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Friends of Cambridge Athletics and The Andrea Harvey Memorial Fund. Information about the run is here.

Registration: Entry fee is $30 on or before March 21, or $35 after. Online registration is here, and in-person registration through March 21 is available at Marathon Sports, 1654 Massachusetts Ave. On the day of the event, registration is from 8:30 to 10 a.m., and the race begins promptly at 10:30 a.m.

Race route: The scenic, flat, tree-lined course starts and finishes at the Russell Youth Center, 695 Huron Ave., in the Strawberry Hill neighborhood. From the start point, turn right on Grove Street, right on Blanchard Road, right on Concord Avenue, right on the Fresh Pond Parkway, right into the Cambridge Water Department, right onto Fresh Pond Reservoir Loop, right back onto Fresh Pond Parkway and right onto Huron Avenue.
