From the Cambridge Police Department, April 23: In collaboration with the Cambridge Public Health Department, the Cambridge Police Department will be participating in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Residents are encouraged to bring unused or expired prescription drugs to the Cambridge Police Department, in the Robert W. Healy Public Safety Facility at 125 Sixth St., East Cambridge near Kendall Square.

Prescription and over-the-counter medications; medication samples; vitamins; veterinary medications; and narcotics will be accepted, and participants will get a $5 gift card to Dunkin’ Donuts while supplies last.

For those who cannot attend, any unused medications can be deposited anonymously 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the dropbox in the first-floor lobby of the police station’s Records Unit.
