101413i-Leland-CheungFrom the Leland Cheung for City Council campaign, Oct. 19, 2015: Incumbent city councillor Leland Cheung is holding what he describes as his last fundraiser before next month’s election at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of behavioral economics professor Richard Zeckhauser, 138 Irving St., near Harvard Square.

“We’re in a crunch to ensure we can fund our get-out-the-vote plan for election weekend before Nov. 3,” Cheung said.

“I’ve come under fire during this election because of my willingness to boldly lead, and we need to mount a significant effort in these last two weeks,” he said. “I keep hearing from everyone that they’re sure I’m safe – ironically, in aggregate it’s having the opposite effect, as it’s been more difficult than ever to raise the support I need to execute the kind of campaign I like to conduct.”

An emailed flier for the event, to be catered by the Chicken & Rice Guys food truck, listed a number of expected attendees, including state Sen. Sal DiDomenico, Jesse Baerkahn, Patrick Barrett, Barry Bluestone, Laury Hammel, Denise Jillson, Jesse Kanson-Benanav, Ken Reeves, Sam Seidel, Rachel Solem, Steve Vinter and fellow members of the Unity Slate.

Suggested contributions were $100, $250, $500 or $1,000. For information, click here.
