A rendering released by Twining Properties shows a potential design for the Mass+Main project coming to Central Square.

Updated designs and information about the Mass+Main project coming to the east end of Central Square will be shown at community open houses planned for 6 to 8 p.m. July 13 and July 26, according to developer Twining Properties.

“Since the last update, the Mass+Main team has been meeting with various community groups, studying area retail opportunities to best activate the area, designing the buildings and site to meet zoning requirement and preparing technical studies,” said Bob Flack, the company’s special vice president for development.

Twining will be going before the city’s Planning Board in the coming months to apply for a special permit to build the project, which is expected to have 260 or more apartments for rent when complete.

People attending the open houses will see the updated designs to be shown before the Planning Board, as well as traffic, water, sewer, wind, shadows and green design plans, Flack said.

The open houses will be held on site at 435 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square. Food will be provided. For information, visit massandmain.com or send email to [email protected].
