The fatal shooting that took place Nov. 16 in Inman Square has a suspect: Kevin Reddick, 17, of Cambridge.

The teen was arrested today on Stuart Street in Boston, said Cambridge Police Commissioner Branville Bard Jr. and Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan. Police found Reddick and served him with a warrant based on their investigation of the shooting.

Reddick has been charged with murder, armed assault with intent to murder, two counts of armed assault with intent to rob, possession of a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition and possession of a loaded firearm in connection with the shooting death of 28-year-old Malachi Mims, the officials said in a press release. An arraignment has been scheduled for Tuesday.

The shooting took place at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Tremont and Hampshire streets in Cambridge. Police found the victim and took him to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with a wound to the abdomen; he was pronounced dead there. The shooting was not believed to be random.
