Cambridge City Manager Robert W. Healy, top; and Queen Victoria, bottom. Are neither amused?

On Tuesday a Twitter user called “Fake Bob Healy” started sending out messages intended as a satire and critique of Cambridge’s powerful city manager.

Has “Real Bob Healy” joined in?

This simple tweet went out at 7:43 a.m. Sunday from the Twitter account Bob Healy in reaction to “Fake Bob Healy” stories on Cambridge Day and The Cambridge Chronicle:

“We are not amused.”

It being Sunday, it’s difficult to pin down whether Bob Healy is actually City Manager Robert W. Healy — but the account from which this four-word tweet came, @RobertWHealy, was created all the way back on March 30, 2009, and has gone unused until now. It follows four accounts, with the Cambridge media sources being half of them, and had only a dozen followers Sunday.

It also reveals a dry sense of humor (“We are not amused” being a classic line in the “royal we” allegedly said by the notoriously dour Queen Victoria) suggesting that the real Bob Healy is, if not actually amused by Fake Bob Healy, at least willing to tweak his own public image a little.

More to come on Healy vs. Healy.
