Harvard Square launches its own daily deals (for good causes)
The daily deals field is getting more crowded, as well as more local: The Harvard Square Business Association is announcing its own deals as part of its harvardsquare.com.
The press release from Denise Jillson, executive director of the association:
Some time ago, there was a well-known publication distributed in Harvard Square that offered special deals; it was aptly called “Square Deals.” Today, the Harvard Square Business Association is pleased to announce that Harvard Square Deals is officially introduced. We invite you to be part of the inaugural launch.
Our first Harvard Square Deals participants; Lizzy’s Ice Cream, the Harvard Square Parking Garage, Temple Bar and Fire + ice have agreed to give a percentage of their sales to Harvard Square charitable organizations.
Proceeds from Lizzy’s Ice Cream will help Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre, the Harvard Square Parking Garage is supporting the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, Temple Bar has partnered with the American Repertory Theatre and our friends at Fire + ice are assisting Passim!
