A two-part workshop on “Understanding and Managing Your Credit” is offered free to residents from 6 to 8 p.m. May 2-3 to teach ways to understand how your credit score is calculated, maximize your credit score and improve your credit.

The event, which costs $5 per session for nonresidents, is to be held at the Margaret Fuller House, 71 Cherry St., Area IV. It is sponsored by the city’s Community Development Department, which partners with local organizations to provide financial literacy programs to Cambridge residents.
