From the Dennis Carlone campaign, Aug. 22: Dennis Carlone’s campaign for Cambridge City Council kicks off tonight from 6 to 8 at 426 Broadway.

Carlone, a Harvard-educated planner, architect and urban design consultant in business since 1978, has worked extensively in Cambridge – including on the East Cambridge Riverfront Project and original NorthPoint designs – as well as in Eastern Massachusetts communities including Boston, Chelsea, Lawrence, Plymouth and Winchester.

He describes himself as an early advocate for sustainable planning and design, and supports the net zero petition before the Planning Board and City Council.

Wine and cheese will be served at the campaign kickoff, and Dave Bryant will play piano.
