From the Minka vanBeuzekom campaign, Oct. 9: City councillor Minka vanBeuzekom is meeting with citizens throughout the city to talk about their concerns and her work on the council, including efforts to make the city more pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly; protect affordable housing; and introduce a free prescription discount card.
Upcoming events include a 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday meet-and-greet event at Inman Square Apartments, 1221 Cambridge St., with refreshments; a 1 to 3 p.m. Friday light lunch at the Burns Apartments, 50 Churchill Ave.; and one with coffee and pastries from 10 a.m. t0 noon Oct. 21 at the LBJ Apartments, 150 Erie St.
