There was an elegant sendoff Friday for Robert Nelson Wilson, a television photographer for WGBH and WCVB as well as Cambridge husband, father of two and grandfather of four who died Aug. 26. In place of the traditional black limousine-style hearse, the A.J. Spears Funeral Home arranged for a horse-drawn carriage – a rare, solemn spectacle for the streets of Cambridge.
The funeral Service was Friday at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Area IV before an interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
