From the Nadeem Mazen campaign, Dec. 19: To celebrate his first year of public service, city councillor Nadeem Mazen is hosting an end-of-year fundraiser at Moksa Restaurant this Saturday evening.

This event is open to all, no donation required. Refreshments will be served. At the event, Mazen will be sharing his thoughts on the most pressing issues facing Cambridge and discussing strategies for addressing them in 2015.

“It has been an incredible privilege to serve on the Cambridge City Council for the past year, and one I am deeply grateful for,” Mazen said. “I’m excited to celebrate this milestone with the friends and supporters who believed in our shared vision for Cambridge, even when all of this looked like a long shot.”

The fundraiser is from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Moksa Restaurant, 450 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square. Mazen will be introduced by longtime Cambridge organizer and youth advocate Jacey Buel. The fundraiser is sponsored by the Committee to Elect Nadeem Mazen.
