From 350 Massachusetts for a Better Future, Nov. 23, 2105: A community forum on carbon pricing in Massachusetts for Cambridge, Arlington and Belmont residents is planned for 7:30 to 9 p.m. Dec. 3 at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist of Arlington, 630 Massachusetts Ave., at the corner of Pleasant Street in Arlington.

Each year, Massachusetts send $18 billion out of state to pay for fossil fuels such as oil, coal and natural gas. By putting a price on carbon, we can reduce pollution, encourage the growth of clean energy, protect our health and keep more of our energy dollars here in Massachusetts. Weโ€™re working to make Massachusetts the first state in the nation to put a price on carbon.

Speakers are to include Marc Breslow, of ClimateXChange; Cathy Buckley, chairwoman of the Massachusetts Sierra Club; Launa Zimmaro, of the League of Women Voters; and Quinton Zondervan, of Green Cambridge.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Free parking is available on the street or across Massachusetts Avenue in lots. The event is presented by 350 Massachusetts for a Better Future.
