From the City of Cambridge, Feb. 12, 2016: The Council on Aging is seeking people to serve on its board and advocate for issues important to seniors. Applicants must be age 60 or older and a Cambridge resident.

The deadline is March 18 for letters expressing interest and describing applicable experience.

The purpose of the board is to promote and encourage existing and new services and activities intended to enhance and improve the quality of life of older people in the city; advise the city manager on matters pertaining to the elderly; and advocate for older residents. Board members also support Council on Aging and Senior Center staff with community outreach for services, benefits, activities and programs.
