From Communities Responding to Extreme Weather, on March 8, 2018: Because recent flooding has shown that extreme weather events are a concern locally, Communities Responding to Extreme Weather is holding its first climate preparedness info session from 7 to 9 p.m. March 15 at the Community Art Center, 119 Windsor St., in The Port neighborhood.

Residents are invited to come to learn more about city plans to minimize flooding in The Port/Area IV neighborhood and citywide, and what to do in weather emergencies. The Department of Public Works will present information on the city’s plan to prevent flooding during extreme weather.
