The Cambridge Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People presents the annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. brunch Saturday. The keynote speaker is Briahna Joy Gray, national press secretary for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders – the Vermont independent ahead in Democratic polling in the campaign to be the next president of the United States.

This annual brunch is “a celebration of the continuing inspiration of the life and works of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and an opportunity to recognize those who, in his spirit, are working to make the city, the nation and the world a better and more equitable place,” and in that spirit will also recognize community members with its Drum Major awards, organizers said.

There are a limited amount tickets left for this event beginning promptly at 11 a.m. at The Christian Life Center, 85 Bishop Allen Drive, The Port. For information, call (857) 383-0879.
