The Friends of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School is awarding $55,500 in scholarships to 36 graduating seniors, even though the Covid-19 outbreak prevented the group from holding its annual Spring Bash.

The generosity of so many who donated, but particularly Bash event sponsors who committed their support early, made the awards possible, FOCRLS said in saluting the sponsors: Google, Philips, DivcoWest/Cambridge Crossing, Trinity Property Management, Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Catherine and David Sullivan, Harvard University, HMFH Architects, Jamie Sabino and Richard Klibaner, Jill Lepore, Lauren Holleran Team/Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty, Maria and Greg Jobin-Leeds, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Bertil and Tracy Jean-Chronberg, Cambridge Savings Bank, Galluccio & Watson LLP, Irving House at Harvard and Leggat McCall Properties.

FOCRLS received hundreds of scholarship applications, which were reviewed carefully before selecting the following outstandingly worthy recipients dedicated to academic achievement, community service, self-expression, cultural representation, professional goals and more:

Anaka Landrigan, Nazari Tuyo, Muhammed Abdalla, Andy Naranjo, Peter Phan, Ashraful Hoque, Jaadyyah Shearrion, Grace Thompson, Ivelisse Garcia, Jose Moreno Del Los Santos, Naika Vincent, Nikolas Taylor, Mohamed Shajahan, Simon Simpson, Ulysses Tully Carr, Zev Dickstein, Amine Djellakh, Mattingly Wood, Sabira Uddin, Yacine Bouabida, Jesse Lowe, Ashiyana Khalifa, Sendy Mazile, Lamisha Khan, Saimon Teclezghi, Naika Vincent, Maryam Dar, Luis Maldonado Rezendes, Esrom Negash, Matthew Hernandez, Sarah Ikram, Sajid Ahsan, Stephanie Grassi, Midline Lajoie, Ralph Paul, Jahmaya Adamson, Anindita Turna and Saimon Teclezghi.
