People interested in serving on the Cambridge Commission on the Status of Women should show interest by Jan. 15.

Commissioners support staff in a mission to create and promote programs that increase public awareness and understanding of issues affecting women and girls, particularly marginalized women and girls, within the city; advocate to improve the quality of their lives; and build coalitions and partner with community organizations on these issues.

The commission meets virtually at 6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month.

For information, call Kimberly Sansoucy at (617) 349-4695 or email her. Applications can be submitted to City Manager Louis A. DePasquale using an application system at cambridgema.gov/apply, which includes submission of a cover letter and résumé or applicable experience. Paper applications are available through the City Manager’s Office. Call (617) 349-4300 or send send email.
