West Cambridge’s Mount Auburn Hospital has shared an image of the first baby born there in the new year: Alana, born Jan. 1 at 12:50 a.m., according to the hospital – a whole 13 minutes earlier than the first baby of 2022 – and weighing 5 pounds, 8 ounces at 18.5 inches long. (Marc Levy)
