State Rep. Steve Owens, a Democrat in the 29th Middlesex District made up of parts of Cambridge and Watertown, has upcoming office hours in Cambridge from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m, April 12 at the Cambridge Public Library’s O’Neill Branch, 70 Rindge Ave, North Cambridge. There’s an April 29 date in Watertown. The Representative looks forward to hearing from constituents on state-related or personal matters.

Owens also plans a fourth annual Earth Day cleanup event in cooperation with the Charles River Conservancy at 10 a.m. April 20 at the American Legion Marsh Post 442 (5 Greenough Blvd., Cambridge) to help pick up trash along the Charles River between the Eliot Bridge and Grove Street along Greenough Boulevard. Last year, drew nearly 50 volunteers and prevented about 45 contractor bags worth of of waste from getting into the river, staff said. Bags and gloves will be provided as needed.
