After storied stints above Harvard Square’s Hong Kong Restaurant, in Union Square’s Bow Market and through a Vera’s residency, The Comedy Studio marks its return to Harvard Square on Thursday. (Update on July 30, 2024: Everything before the Aug. 7 shows featuring Myq Kaplan have been wiped off the schedule without explanation.) Now in a new location with a new management team, the Studio aims to continue its reign as a go-to for rising talent across New England while adapting to a continually evolving comedy scene. The Studio will embrace a new booking model, with a rotating slate of comedians and producers to present a variety of performers across styles and forms. It’ll also have a new attendance model, offering added benefits to the dedicated comedy fan. In addition to traditional ticket sales, The Studio’s membership model (available at two levels of monthly support) features ticket price reductions, early access, discounts at area restaurants and more. Join up this weekend to say you were there for the start of the club’s next chapter.
The Comedy Studio, 5 John F. Kennedy St., Harvard Square, Cambridge
