What could have gotten Andy Haynes sent to detention? The New York Times called him a stand-up “whose ideas have sometimes pushed the boundaries of taste,” which says more about the Times than it does about Haynes – or any comic – and misses how he’s moved on from drug buys in Central America and being house comic for crypto bros investing in British football (“The team was bad, and the fans hated the owners”). Now, on the “Beautiful Boys” podcast he shares with Mike Cannon, he riffs on careers, parenthood and marriage. (He’s married to “SNL” writer and comic Rosebud Baker, guaranteeing stories about “Who is Rosebud Baker’s husband?,” and they have one daughter.) “Vows are weird,” Haynes said of his wedding in a 2021 special. “You can’t deliver on half that shit. I said I’d love her forever … you know how I know we don’t mean it? It’s my second wedding.”
