The Cambridge studio of the online radio station Central On Air reflects its home in the Market Central complex.

The Cambridge community radio station Central On Air launches officially Saturday at a Central Square Business Improvement District block party, the organization said Monday.

Central On Air, a nonprofit online music station, that was announced in January. From studios at 425 Massachusetts Ave. the station will feature live programming weekdays from noon to 6 p.m. and reruns of prerecorded sets in between.ย 

โ€œListeners can tune in 24/7 at centralonair.com,โ€ said Erik Sarno, program director at the Central Square organization, in a press release. โ€œExpect to see live sets by local DJs playing music of all genres. Whether youโ€™re passing by our studio, watching along on the video stream or just enjoying the tunes in your headphones, Central On Air provides a curated music experience that offers a fresh alternative to modern streaming algorithms and traditional radio.โ€

The Central On Air block party is set for 5 to 9 p.m. at the studio address with sets from DJ 7L, Saucy Lady, Big Bear and DJ Frank White. (They spin again at afterparties at the Central Square area restaurants and clubs Brick & Mortar, Middlesex and Roxyโ€™s.)
