The Cambridge Rindge and Latin girls’ hockey team defeated Boston Latin Academy, 7-5, on Feb. 18, finishing its season with two straight wins to double its victory total, bringing its record to 4-16. Captains Allie DelVecchio and Caroline Rapp each had three points, with DelVecchio scoring two goals and adding one assist and Rapp scoring once and notching two assists. Marin Albrecht, Olivia Gao, and Alicia Pite also each had one goal and one assist for the Falcons. Olivia Cruz netted one goal. Goaltender Max Cowen-Breen made 26 saves.

Boys’ hockey: The boys’ hockey team also won its last game, beating Wilmington Feb. 18 3-2 in overtime. Joshua Pite scored the winner and also had two assists. Joel Perez scored twice, Matias Moore had two assists and Yona Reinhorn added one. The team ended its season with a record of 7-12-1.

Boys’ basketball: The boys’ basketball team (14-6) routed St. John’s Prep 58-31 on Feb. 18 to complete its regular season. Jaydaan Correia had 19 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Aaron Abebe added 11 points and five rebounds. The Falcons start the state tournament against Marshfield at home Friday at 7 p.m.

Girls’ basketball: The girls’ basketball team (7-13) closed its season on a high note, snapping a four-game losing streak by beating Somerville, 49-46. Senior Nada Elfathy dropped 27 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and had two assists and two steals.
