Our democracy — and our right to participate in it — is under attack. One of the best ways to protect it is to vote in the primary and elect a candidate with the courage to fight for the future of Cambridge and the Commonwealth over the next six years.
I believe that candidate is Seth Moulton: a fierce, energetic and visionary leader with 12 years in Congress and four tours of duty as a Marine.
Moulton has a record of getting things done. He led the effort to create 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, which now connects millions of Americans with crisis support. He saw a national need and turned an idea into a resource with measurable impact.
He founded Serve America to recruit veterans and other public service-minded leaders to run for office. Its alumni include Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger and New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill. He didn’t simply call for new leadership; he built a pipeline for it.
He is also thinking ambitiously about the future. In Cambridge, we feel the housing crisis firsthand: it was the top concern in the City’s 2025 resident survey and our number one challenge. Moulton’s “3 for 30” plan meets that urgency with practical, concrete action — establishing housing, healthcare and education as human rights while laying out steps to make that vision affordable, including high-speed rail that would connect communities and expand access to jobs and housing. That’s why Moulton’s bold solutions make him the right choice for our city.
That combination — experience, forward-thinking, and a proven ability to turn ideas into action — is what I want from the person representing Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate.
On September 1, I’ll be voting for Seth Moulton. I hope my fellow Cambridge residents will join me.
