Tavishi Chattopadhyay is an incoming senior at Boston University, studying journalism. They have bylines in different newspapers and news sites around Massachusetts, including Commonwealth Beacon, the New Bedford Light, Winchester News and the Daily Free Press. They’re the incoming president of BU’s Journalists of Color, a club seeking to create a safe space for student journalists of color to thrive and grow. Tavishi previously interned at Gay Community News in Dublin, Ireland where they wrote about topics ranging from global queer news to queer history. They have experience in both print and radio journalism, having interned with WRNJ in Hackettstown, NJ and worked for BU’s student radio station.
