I know you’re a new paper, but you really blew your coverage of the Cambridge School Committee election. First of all, while challenger Patty Nolan was indeed the top placer (the only one to win in the first round), Nancy Walser is an incumbent, having first been elected in 2003.
It is actually Luc Schuster, the Green-Rainbow Party candidate who was the second challenger to win a seat on the School Committee for the next two years.
Not only did you mess up this fact, but other than listing the results you completely failed to mention Schuster at all. He was one of the most exciting candidates for office this year: a young passionate educator, the only current teacher in this race and a graduate of Cambridge Rindge & Latin School. He certainly deserved coverage after his stunning victory on Election Day!
