Parenting expert Joani Geltman is coming Wednesday to The John M. Tobin/Tobin Montessori School to give her presentation on “Early Adolescent Psychology: The Parent Version” with parents of fourth- through eighth-graders.

Geltman, a Wellesley resident, is on the faculty at Lesley University and Curry College and consults with and trains teachers as well as parents.

She’ll give tips on parenting tweens and teens, including “teen-proofing” your home, setting appropriate limits and identifying and dealing with depression and anxiety and such issues as sex, drugs and alcohol, said Mary Frawley, family liaison for the Tobin schools.

Geltman’s talk will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at the school, 197 Vassal Lane, Cambridge. Child care will be provided. For information, call (617) 349-6600, ext. 233.
