A panel discussion on “Aging in Cambridge: Volunteering and Life-long Learning” is planned for 6 p.m. today (with light refreshments served a half-hour earlier) in the auditorium of the Cambridge Main Library, 449 Broadway.

The panelists include Jennifer Fries, of the Cambridge School Volunteers; Emma Watkins, of the Citywide Senior Center; Susan Hartnett, of the Cambridge Center for Adult Education; Robert Snyder, a board member of Food for Free; Bob Hurlbut, of the Cambridge Senior Volunteer Clearinghouse; and Louis Carbonaro, a hospice volunteer. The discussion is to be moderated by Ann Bookman, of the Heller School for Social Policy and   Management at Brandeis University.

The talk is sponsored by  the offices of Mayor David Maher and Vice Mayor Henrietta Davis; the Cambridge Council on Aging, Cambridge Senior Volunteer Clearinghouse, Living Well Network at the Agassiz Baldwin Community and the “Staying Put” Neighborhood Group.
