Porter Square takes the gold not only for having the biggest grouping of 24-hour services, but very likely for having the widest variety of available goods. What puts it over the top: It’s probably the only city square where you can pick up a toy for the kids (at the Henry Bear’s Park toystore) then walk a few steps and pick up one for yourself (at the Cambridge Naturals health store).

That is, Cambridge Naturals has a small section devoted to “Women’s sexual support,” including lotions, books and a range of vibrators, mostly from the Natural Contours line, often selling for around $30 to up to $65.

Cambridge Naturals, at 23 White St. in the Porter Square Shopping Center, has been in the area for nearly 40 years, although it moved from Massachusetts Avenue, closer to Harvard Square, several years ago. It sells everything from prepared foods, chocolates, candies and coffees and teas to vitamins, minerals, homeopathy, yoga and exercise supplies, soaps and candles.
