A presentation by the Center for Women and Enterprise called “Steps to Starting Your Own Business” is to be held 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 29 in the second-floor conference room of City Hall Annex, 344 Broadway.

The workshop is for people thinking about starting a business or in the early stages of a launch. Topics include refining business ideas, considering legal structures, getting tax numbers, licenses and permits and additional tools and tips to get you started quickly. It is free for eligible Cambridge residents and business owners or $20 for others.
