Cambridge Community Television is offering free hourlong courses Sunday at 6 and 7:30 p.m. for members and residents.

“We want to offer these opportunities to the community as well as give them a sampling of what CCTV classes are like, what we have to offer,” said Allison Maria Rodriguez, the media center’s community media training coordinator. “It’s a way of community building as well as introducing ourselves.”

The courses are:

bullet-gray-smallYouTube for Producers: Students will learn how to upload original content to the site, the world’s largest video sharing website, and how to manage their own video channel.

bullet-gray-smallIntro to Microphones: Students will learn about various microphones – all available for use in productions at CCTV – and which to use in different shooting situations.

bullet-gray-smallGoogle Docs: Students will learn about Google’s free file storage and synchronization service enabling user cloud storage, file sharing and collaborative editing, then dig deeper to learn to collaborate on documents and spreadsheets.

bullet-gray-smallPinterest: Students will learn how to make creative pin boards and albums on Pinterest, an image-sharing site, to exhibit your favorite images.

Registration in advance is required (and smart, as courses may fill up or be canceled due to low enrollment) and accepted on a first-come basis. Schedules are subject to change.
