Four Burgers sidewalk party offers 14 burgers, or 24 or 34, to help nonprofit
Four Burgers in Central Square is offering all-you-can eat sliders and fries Tuesday as a fundraiser for Food For Free, a 33-year-old nonprofit based on Inman Street that rescues fresh food being thrown away and gets it to the needy.
“We benefit every day from the support of our customers, and we want to pay it forward by supporting Food For Free, our Central Square neighbor, and the work it does to eliminate hunger in our community,” said Michael Bissanti, owner of Four Burgers.
Proceeds from the Four Burgers sidewalk party will support four Food For Free programs, including home delivery for the disabled and elderly.
What do Four Burgers partygoers get? For $15, a virtually endless number of locally sourced beef sliders hot off the grill and unlimited house-cut fries, Bissanti said. Beer and other beverages are for sale separately.
The party runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (there is a rain date of 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, but the Tuesday forecast is for temperatures in the 50s and only a 10 percent chance of precipitation) in front of Four Burgers, 704 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square. For information, call (617) 441-5444.
