New members are sought for the Planning Board, the authority granting special permits for the city and responsible for review of special permit requests, review and development of zoning proposals and the study of land use in the city.

The board of seven members and two alternates meets about twice a month, on Tuesday evenings. Board members must be Cambridge residents. People with a general interest in city planning and expertise in such areas as architecture, urban design, urban planning and zoning are encouraged to apply.
