From the City of Cambridge, Nov. 2, 2015: All Cambridge men are invited to “say yes to healthy masculinity and no to violence against women” and help end gender-based violence by joining the White Ribbon Campaign.

The campaign involves “taking the pledge” and attending training to become local ambassadors committed to helping end gender-based violence. Attendees will be asked what “healthy masculinity” means and how to work together to reimagine manhood; how to be a visible ally in ending violence against women; and how to encourage other men in the community to get involved and take action.

The White Ribbon Campaign Ambassador Training, sponsored by Jane Doe Inc. in collaboration with the Cambridge Public Health Department and the City of Cambridge, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 9 in the second-floor large conference room at 119 Windsor St., in the Area IV neighborhood. RSVP here. Refreshments will be provided. Parking is limited.
