From the Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers, Oct. 11, 2016: The annual meeting of the Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25, on the second-floor community center of its Cambridge office at 1046 Cambridge St., near Inman Square. Alliance members and the public are invited to attend and hear about the 46-year-old nonprofit health and social service organization’s accomplishments during the past year, as well as its plans. A light buffet dinner will be served.

Members will recognize Alliance volunteers getting certificates of appreciation for their service to the organization and its clients and have the opportunity to vote for board members in the agency’s annual election. Nominations from members in good standing are being accepted at the Cambridge Office through Oct. 19.
