A “Drive 2 Support Puerto Rico” is planned for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday to gather critically needed items for Puerto Rico’s Hurricane Maria relief at the Cambridge Police Department, 125 Sixth St., near Kendall Square. Donations will be accepted on the Rogers Street side of the building.

The drive is hosted by the Cambridge Police Department, Cambridge Police Superior Officer’s Association and Cambridge Police Patrol Officer’s Association.

Donated items will be delivered to families from Puerto Rico affected directly by the storm. Critically needed items include batteries; flashlights; first aid and medical supplies; personal care products; soap, toilet paper, paper towels and toothpaste; and mosquito repellent.

All donated items must be nonperishable and not secondhand, nor contain liquids of any kind. Open or unsealed donations of food or hygiene supplies will not be accepted. Wet wipes will also not be accepted. Any other items will be kindly returned.

Food and refreshments will be provided to donors.
