A general town hall forum with five city councillors is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, when residents can ask questions about whatever is on their mind and hear about conversations happening at the council level.

The virtual meetings โ€“ taking place over Zoom videoconferencing software โ€“ย will take place in back-to-back sessions, the first with vice mayor Alanna Mallon and councillor E. Denise Simmons; the second with Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and councillors Marc McGovern and Jivan Sobrinho-Wheeler.

โ€œIn this time of social distancing and social unrest, it is more important than ever to be plugged into what local government is doing,โ€ said Burhan Azeem, a candidate last year for council who will be moderating the open-ended forum.
