The Department of Conservation and Recreation began operation Saturday of curbside parking meters recently installed along Memorial Drive outbound from 1 Memorial Drive to Fowler Street and along Cambridge Parkway. There’s a grace period: Parking enforcement and ticketing begins May 15.

The meters cost $1.25 an hour between 8 to 8 p.m. Drivers can pay with quarters; credit or debit cards; or a mobile payment app. Information is at website.

Also, parking enforcement has resumed at the North Point parking lot on Education Street, and DCR warns that fines will be issued to vehicles not displaying a valid parking pass.
