An event for loved ones of people who experienced violence in Cambridge has been scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday in Danehy Park, 99 Sherman St., in Neighborhood 9 just east of Fresh Pond. It’s organized by Celia Wilcox, the mother of Richelle Robinson, a 15-year-old who was shoved fatally to the ground in July 18. A former friend who had fallen out with Richelle and others pleaded guilty in April to manslaughter.

Called Rock for “Remembering Our Cambridge Kids and Kin,” the event stresses healing and that grieving people are not alone. Support groups for victims of homicide and suicide will have representatives on hand, according to an event flyer and city councillor Jivan Sobrinho-Wheeler.
