Jonathan Anderson is one of a rising number of area performers pursuing multiple forms of comedy: podcasting, improv, sketch and stand-up. With “Show Me Your Bits,” he showcases a number of his passions on one stage. This Friday’s edition of the monthly show at Somerville’s intimate Rooted Armory Cafe puts sketch and stand-up front and center. Billed as a collection of Anderson’s “hot, funny friends,” the show features stand-up and character performances from Maz Ismael, Jesse Farris, Talia Fraine, Jackson Watts and Bailey Hull. Music is on the menu, performed by Henry Loveland. In a comedic world where different forms of the art are positioned as oppositional to or in competition – an issue also being answered by the newly formed Nova Comedy Collective – it’s nice to see a hybrid approach gain popularity fueled by performers who genuinely enjoy blurring the lines.

Show Me Your Bits, doors at 7:30 p.m. and show at 8 pm. at Arts at the Armory, 191 Highland Ave., Somerville. $10.
