At 15 years old, Emily Wilson made it to the finals of “The X Factor,” a reality TV talent show. “It was total humiliation,” she said in an interview with The Guardian, “so I tried to put it in a box and never go back to it.” Years later, she’s crafted the memories of this wild time in her teendom to present “Fixed,” a one-woman show that mined the admittedly awful experience for comedy … and, by definition, goes back to it in a big way. The reward for her efforts? A Best Newcomer award nomination at 2022’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a forthcoming date to film the show at Brooklyn’s Bell House. Ahead of that taping, Wilson brings the show to the newly reimagined Comedy Studio. Head to Harvard Square for an hour of indignity reimagined, billed by the Bouquets & Brickbats review site as “part musical, part stand-up, part catharsis.”

“Fixed” at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 at The Comedy Studio, 5 John F. Kennedy St., Harvard Square, Cambridge. $21
