In a moment it’s not always easy to believe what you see, hear or read, Langston Kerman (Netflix, IFC) and David Gborie (Comedy Central) are either here to help … or to invite many more questions. Their Big Money Players podcast, “My Momma Told Me,” allows Black comedians and celebrities to “deep dive into the most exciting, groundbreaking and sometimes problematic Black conspiracy theories.” The results have the potential to be insightful, ridiculous or even scary. But no matter what, the pair manages to make the experience fun for listeners. I have no doubt they’ll amp up that potential for a live show at Arts at the Armory – especially given that the show’s coming just after Election Day. It also serves as a homecoming of sorts for Kerman, who spent time on the Boston comedy scene during his time at Boston University before “graduating” to New York and now Los Angeles. Come for the opportunity to see their undeniable rapport on outlandish topics live; stay for the chance to hear your laugh in a live podcast recording!
“My Momma Told Me” podcast recording, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at Arts at the Armory, 191 Highland Ave., Spring Hill, Somerville. $25.
